Wait On The Lord by Pastor David Ibiyeomie

Holy Spirit Your Helper by Pastor David Ibiyeomie

The Holy Spirit is the third person in trinity. He is the voice of God. Without His help, life can be very frustrating. Man can be helpless but God is never helpless and He is ever ready to help you.

Psalm 121:1-2 – I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. 2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

There is a limit a man can help you but when the Holy Spirit helps you, you will not have any limit.

John 14:16-17 – And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

Human helpers may not be there when you need them but He is always there 24 hours. His schedule is forever; He never sleeps nor slumbers. He abides with you always and His help is supernatural. At the root of every divine help is the Holy Spirit.

John 14:26 – But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

The word comforter simply means helper. The Holy Spirit helps you by illuminating the truth which is the word of God. He expounds the word for you to understand. Understanding naturally commands you to obey His word and you cannot obey His word and not connect the help of God.

Many are helpless and frustrated because they don’t understand the word of God. Many cannot find the treasures in the word of God because they don’t have a relationship with the Holy Spirit. They run around men instead of running towards the Holy Spirit. I pray your understanding to be opened in Jesus name!

Holy Spirit Your Helper by Pastor David Ibiyeomie

When the Holy Spirit gives you understanding, you become outstanding in life. Many don’t know the redemptive blessings packaged for them because they cannot understand the word of God. It takes the Holy Ghost to take you to the realm of hearing and doing the will of God. He is the one that helps you to hear what God is saying by interpreting it to you. You cannot hear God and not respond because His voice is powerful. Every time you hear God, obeying Him becomes easy. Many people don’t obey God because they cannot hear Him.

How can the Holy Spirit be in you and you are running after mere mortals? How can God be with you and you are frustrated in life? How can God be with you and you are afraid of situations and challenges of life? It is because you are not conscious of His presence in your life. You are conscious of men more than Him. The Holy Spirit is the one that makes all the difference in anyone’s life.

In times of challenges, it is the Holy Spirit that you should run to first but many people run to men first. Holy Spirit is the one that has the answers to every challenges of life but you are not yet conscious of Him. His personality is so powerful that He can overturn the mountains from the root; He can make a way where there is no way because He never sleeps nor slumbers and He controls all things you can ever think of.

Jesus was never stranded any day while He was on earth because the Holy Spirit was with Him. Therefore, if you want to get results in life like Jesus, you must be conscious of His personality.

Rom. 8:10 – And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

If you know that the Spirit of life is in you which is the Holy Spirit, your life cannot be terminated. The reason many people cannot see the manifestation of the Holy Ghost is because they are not conscious of His presence. (Holy Spirit Your Helper by Pastor David Ibiyeomie)

Through worship, you will see the majestic presence of the Holy Spirit in your life. When you worship, you create an atmosphere for Him to perform. Therefore, if you want to stir Him up, you should worship. Another way to stir Him up is to pray in the Holy Ghost. There is a limit you can go as a believer if you cannot pray in the Holy Ghost.

The mission of the Holy Spirit is to shatter the darkness covering your destiny as He did in Gen.1. He takes off whatever that is blindfolding God’s purpose for your life. So, why carry all the burdens of your life when God has given you someone to help you? God has given you the Holy Ghost to make profit here on earth and when He helps you, He does so from the foundation. He does not solve a problem half-way; He solves it from the root.

As you acknowledge His presence in your life, I see you enjoy His help from now on in Jesus name –Amen!!!

God bless you

TREM Daily Devotional 18 October 2018 by Dr. Mike Okonkwo

Topic: Grace Will Work For You

Scripture: “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me”. 1 Corinthians 15:10

Message: All through in the scriptures, we see grace at work. Have you ever wondered why Moses was preserved? The rest of the little Hebrew children were killed, but grace kept him. God then took Moses into the very camp of the enemy and yet they couldn’t touch him. They were touching other children but not Moses. Why? Grace says, “this one is untouchable”. God went a step further to ensure that they used their resources to bring him up in Egypt; in the very camp of the enemy.

As a believer, you should not go about as though you are naked. You have the highest levels of arsenals. The devil is not powerful than we are. All power belongs to our God and He has deposited this power in His word. The word of God carries grace. It was grace that made Vashti make a mistake. There was no reason why she shouldn’t have answered her husband’s call. After all, she was also having her party. The natural thing to do was to answer him but grace had zeroed in on Esther. I see grace relocating you.

TREM Daily Devotional 18 October 2018 – Grace Will Work For You

Heaven had already packaged Esther to be a Queen. So, grace was at work directing every affair. Somebody may be working with you in the same place and he doesn’t know that grace is working for you. David was forgotten even by his father but grace was looking for him. The prophet Samuel said this matter will not be complete until he arrives. There are certain things that will never take place until you appear. So, don’t bother about the delay. It will never happen until you show up. That same grace that worked for others will work for you. I will hear your testimony.

Our Daily Bread 18 October 2018 Devotional

Topic: A Piercing Thorn

Read: Isaiah 53:1–6 | Bible in a Year: Isaiah 53–55; 2 Thessalonians 1

Scripture: But he was pierced for our transgressions . . . and by his wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

Message: The thorn pricked my index finger, drawing blood. I hollered and then groaned, drawing back my hand instinctively. But I shouldn’t have been surprised: trying to prune a thorny bush without gardening gloves was a recipe for exactly what just happened.

The pain throbbing in my finger—and the blood flowing from it—demanded attention. And as I searched for a bandage, I found myself unexpectedly thinking about my Savior. After all, soldiers forced Jesus to don an entire crown of thorns (John 19:1–3). If one thorn hurt this much, I thought, how much agony would an entire crown of them inflict? And that’s just a small portion of the physical pain He suffered. A whip flogged His back. Nails penetrated His wrists and ankles.

But Jesus endured spiritual pain too. Verse 5 of Isaiah 53 tells us, “But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him.” The “peace” Isaiah talks about here is another way of talking about forgiveness. Jesus allowed Himself to be pierced—by nails, by a crown of thorns—to bring us spiritual peace with God. His sacrifice, His willingness to die on our behalf, paved the way to make a relationship with the Father possible. And He did it, Scripture tells us, for me, for you.

Our Daily Bread 18 October 2018 Devotional – A Piercing Thorn

Prayer: Father, I can’t imagine the pain Your Son endured to wash away my sin. Thank You for sending Him for me, to be pierced for my sins that I might have a relationship with You.

Thought for the Day: Jesus allowed Himself to be pierced to bring us spiritual peace with God.

INSIGHT
Isaiah 53:1–6 is part of a section of the book known as the Servant Songs. There are four Servant Songs in Isaiah that describe the service, suffering, and triumph of the servant of the Lord—Jesus the Messiah. These songs are found in Isaiah 42:1–9, 49:1–13, 50:4–11, and 52:13–53:12.

This last servant song describes the suffering and triumph of the servant. Though He is pierced, crushed, punished, and wounded, it’s His suffering that brings us peace and healing (53:5). The ultimate purpose for this suffering is outlined in verse 10—His life is an offering for sin. The servant takes our place—suffering for us and bearing our sins. And by His suffering and death, we are given life and peace. But death is not the end for the servant: “After he has suffered, he will see the light of life” (v. 11). In His suffering and resurrection, Jesus reconciles humanity to God (see Matthew 8:17; Acts 8:30–35; Romans 10:15–17; 15:21).

How can you celebrate the life that Jesus died to give you?

TREM Daily Devotional 17 October 2018 by Dr. Mike Okonkwo

Topic: Grace Will Overrule For You

Scripture: “For if by one man’s offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of Grace and the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ”. Romans 5:17

Message: Success in life is not about your qualification. It is about what God does for you. It is not about your works and efforts. It is about the finished work of Christ. The Grace of God reminds you that as you go out there, don’t think you are alone. The whole of heaven is behind you and there is no way you can fail. Failure has been deleted from the dictionary of a believer because of Grace.

Abraham saw himself as a failure. He was already retiring. But God said to him, your life is starting now. God attached his own name to Abram, that is why the name became Abraham. In other words, Abraham, whether you like it or not, you are not going to die a failure. I will attach my name to your name and barrenness will disappear.

We must receive Grace as a revelation and expect it to work for us. Not because of us but because of Him. That is why we always use Apostolic Benediction at the end of every service. May the grace our Lord Jesus Christ…In other words, when you are going out, know that you are carrying something that the devil has no answer for. It is called Grace. They said that your name should not be there. Grace says put his name there. If his name has not entered there, then no other name will be there.

TREM Daily Devotional 17 October 2018 by Dr. Mike Okonkwo – Grace Will Overrule For You

Every challenge answers to grace. Your present situation will bow to grace. Grace will overrule for you. Isaac sowed in a land of famine, in the same land where everyone was running from, and grace said to Isaac because you sowed, I will change the whole land for your sake. He reaped an hundred fold in the same year because grace changed the entire soil. Grace will change your situation. Grace will overrule for you.
